Classy Mantel Clocks

The girlfriend and I are going through the transition of moving in together, and we're compromising on a lot. One of the things I put my foot down about was my office... aka the "guest bedroom". At least, she wanted a guest bedroom. I vetoed that one, and used up all my... veto-powers on that one room. Ah well, it'll be worth it. I'm going through now and picking up a seth thomas mantel clock for the shelf thats directly across from my desk. The desk is going to be shit - the desk doesn't matter though. I'll spend $50 on a bare-bones desk, and then drop $700 on the best chair I can get my hands on. The chairs really all that matters... the desk just needs to have legs and a flat surface. The chair is what I'm going to be sittin in for hours on end. Thoughts?

Vegan Milk Info

For the last 12 months or so I haven't been eating meat at all. It was actually my New Year's resolution for 2007. This year, I think I'm going to take it another step and give up dairy as well. Leg Magic

So, one might be correct in saying that I possibly drink a little more than I should. And, one also might be correct in saying that all the empty, booze-calories tend to settle in the lower half of the body. Long story short, I drink like a fish, and have gained about 15 pounds over the last 2 - 3 months. So, I need a solution. I used to run on a regular basis, but I have a lot of problems with my left ankle, so running is currently out of the picture, probablu for good. So, I'm thinking of trying a few things out.

One is a thing I saw on TV called Leg Magic. It doesn't look like much, but when you look at thwat you're actually doing - it seems like it would work. The basica idea is you end up doing pretty un-natural movements, which ends up working muslces you don't normally use. The reason I'm really interested in this is that its small, folds up, and can be used in basically any room.

Anyone out there ever try one of these things?

Are you wearing the right bra size?

I found a great blog post today that gives some thing to check to see if you're wearing the wrong bra size or not. It's definitely something all women should read, because most of the time we end up wearing bras that are a couple sizes too small. Granted, it might look good - but it's damn uncomfortable.

Baby Shower Ideas

Not to let ya'll know too much about myself, but I'm 27, female, and single as they come. But, I still find myself wanting a b word every so often. That's right - the b word... baby. I don't really look forward to the sleepless nights, and the whole giving birth thing in genreral, or getting really fat. I think I just want to have one so I can throw a bad ass baby shower. There - I said it, I would throw a totally bad ass baby shower.

Shoe Shopping

Whenever I feel a little depressed, I go out and blow more money than I should on some new shoes. I don't know what it is about shoe shopping that jsut makes me feel so much better. The best part is, I can get shoes for like.. $20 that look fabulous. However, the price break doesnt do me any good when I buy 6 - 7 pairs at a time! Oh well, it still helps me smile :)

Mens Accessories

As a followup to my little rant the other day about guys being able to go out for a classy night, I thought I would talk for a little bit about men's accessories. I'm not talking about the stuff most guys seem to count as accessories like a sideways visor and a popped pink collar. I'm talking about nice accessories like cufflinks, a classy watch, or a simple braclet. I really need to meet mroe guys who know how the hell to accessorize their outfits. Well, more that know how to do that and don't like guys.

Womens Fitness

There's constatnly articles going around about women's fitness, and I've had just about enough. I manage to stay pretty fit without a whole ton of extra effort. I dance a lot on the weekends, I take the stairs at work instead of the elevator, and I hit the gym three times a week, for about an hour. I'm always amazed at how many people aren't willing to set aside 3 hours a week to keep themselves in shape. Ironically enough, these are the same people complaining about their figure. Go figure. Maybe if you stopped eating fast food, and got off your ass and did something now and then, you'd be in better shape.
